Built by Anthony Sawrey in 1627, this picture book oak-beamed farmhouse has a magical setting on the edge of the Tarn Hows forest. In a peaceful location, yet in the centre of the Lake District close to Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere and Coniston, SAWREY GROUND is an ideal base for walking and touring in the region. Excellent pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Mike and Gill offer a warm welcome to their home with its friendly, relaxed atmosphere and popular homemade bread and cakes. Minimum 2 night’s stay.
