This charming, Victorian, former farmhouse is set within beautiful rolling countryside, but only 2 miles from the unspoilt coast at Cooden Beach. The historic towns of Battle, Rye and Hastings are close by, further afield are National Trust properties and gardens such as Sissinghurst, Batemans and Herstmonceux. At HIGHWOODS, guests have use of the large sitting room and sunny well designed garden with a terrace and sun room. The generous breakfasts are cooked on an Aga and homemade bread and preserves with locally sourced produce are used where possible. WiFi access. Small dogs welcome.

Directions
From North: Leave M25 at Junction 5, and merge onto A21 (Hastings). Continue on A21 (becoming A2100). On entering Battle, turn left at roundabout and follow high street, past Battle Abbey on the right, to mini roundabout. Take second exit (towards station), before reaching the station take the right hand turn (Powermill Lane). Turn left at junction with B2204 (Catsfield). Proceed through Catsfield. On entering Ninfield turn left at roundabout (Kings Arms Pub) and take the first right (signposted Pevensey/Hooe). Proceed through Russells Green and before entering Hooe, take the 1st left (Bexhill) after Athelas Exotic Plant Nursery. Follow Straight Lane for 1.2 miles and you will find us on the left hand side opposite Whydown Manor. From East: Follow A259, at Little Common roundabout exit at Peartree Lane (Ninfield/Catsfield). Continue to cross roads and turn left (Whydown Road). On entering Whydown, Highwoods Farm is 300-400 yards on the right hand side opposite Whydown Manor.
