An exciting new initiative has been launched called ‘’BroadsByCycle’’ , which sees a self-service bike hire scheme enabling miles of beautiful countryside around the Broads National Park to be explored along safe cycle routes.
The first section of ‘The Three Rivers Way’ to be opened, provides a route linking Wroxham, referred to as the ‘Capital of The Broads’, Hoveton and the picturesque village of Horning, otherwise known as the ‘Jewel of the Broads’. The bikes can be hired and returned at three Docking Stations along the route located at Hoveton (at the Tourist Information centre), Horning (in the car park near The Swan Inn) and Ludham Bridge.
This pioneering scheme is thought to be the first of its kind in a rural area of the country, a great achievement for the local people who have campaigned for many years to see this put in place.
