9 Sept – The Tour of Britain, Stage 6
International road cycle race, The Tour of Britain, will be coming to Devon for Stage 6 of this exciting race, when the world’s top cycling teams and riders, including the amazing Sir Bradley Wiggins, will be racing through 150 kilometres of countryside from Sidmouth on the East coast of Devon to the summit of Haytor on Dartmoor.
10 Sept to 25 September – Devon Open Studios
This is a unique opportunity to view the work of over 200 artists as they open their studios, located in some of the most stunning settings in Devon, to the public.
14 Sept to 18 Sept – International Agatha Christie Festival
As September marks the 100th year anniversary of the creation of world-renowned author Agatha Christie’s famous detective Hercule Poirot, celebrate the life of this fascinating author who, born in Torquay, gained much of her inspiration for the settings of her Murder Mysteries from the surrounding areas.
15 Sept to 19 Sept – Tavistock Heritage Festival
Experience a journey back in time with this celebration of 1000 years of history. Enjoy a wide range of events and attractions including drama, story-telling, music, craft and vintage stalls.
