Charlie & Jane Ritchie

Bashfords West Bagborough Taunton Somerset TA4 3EF

8 miles from TAUNTON   9 miles from BRIDGWATER

Set in the beautiful Quantock Hills BASHFORDS offers the ideal centre for a stay in the area, whether you are keen walkers, cyclists, sightseers, or simply like to relax in comfort.  Bedrooms are large and beautifully furnished with a mix of antique and modern furniture, the guest sitting room has comfortable sofas, a large wood-burning stove, books and music.  Guests dine around a massive pine table in the dining room and we would recommend eating in during your stay as Charlie and Jane pride themselves on their cooking. Alternatively there is a wide range of country pubs in the immediate area.  You can walk from our front door straight onto the Quantocks where you are likely to see red deer, buzzards and a wide variety of other wildlife. Your hosts can advise on the best walks in the area, as well as providing maps and packed lunches, if required.  Exmoor is a 30 minute drive away for those who enjoy a wilder countryside and there are a number of long distance walks that cross the area.
