GREENVALE FARM, in Melchet Park, sits at the northern tip of the New Forest (4 miles). Near at hand are the cathedral cities of Salisbury, Winchester and the abbey in nearby Romsey. Southampton and the south coast are within 30 minutes. Other points of interest nearby include Beaulieu Motor Museum and the church where Florence Nightingale is buried at St. Margaret of Antioch, East Wellow. Take a lovely journey through the New Forest to see the ponies. The New Forest Agricultural Show takes place on the last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of July each year- great for Heavy Horse enthusiasts! Two pubs within 2 miles, one just a 20 minute walk. FROM THE M27. Leave the motorway at J. 2 (marked Paultons Park) signposted towards Romsey (Don't take J. 3!). Follow A3090 towards Romsey and as you approach the 40mph limit turn left onto the A27 (signposted Sherfield English). Within 5 miles you will see the village sign. 1.5 miles after this sign, just past the Hatchet Inn & Church, you will see a layby. Turn left and travel under the archway marked Melchet Court. Greenvale Farm is after 150 yards on your left, just past WINTER HOUSE. From SALISBURY take the A36 - Southampton Road: within approx 7 miles watch out for signs to White Parish. At the traffic lights turn off left to White Parish. Go through village (A27) to Sherfield English. Approx 500 yards after the 50mph limit sign turn right under the archway marked Melchet Court. Go past some cottages. Greenvale Farm is 150 yards on your left.
