The Old Custom House is situated a short distance from Southwold, Minsmere Nature Reserve and Walberswick. Formerly a magistrates and a jail this house is unique with an upside down approach, low entry doors and spiral staircase up to breakfast. Your hosts offer a warm welcome and a comfortable bed with a few added luxuries. A full English breakfast is served using local produce and afterwards enjoy a day in Southwold shopping or on the beach, walking or take a stroll along the estuary taking in the beautiful scenery. Blythburgh has a pub with an excellent restaurant.
Directions & MapBlythburgh is a small village on the A12 in Suffolk. Entering from Ipswich direction you will enter a 30mph zone, follow road around a sweeping bend, turn left into Priory Road and directly right into the Old Custom House's driveway.
