We spent 2 nights at Stanstead Hall Farm B&B, a lovely old building with oodles of character. Its rural setting makes it a truly peaceful place to sit and enjoy a drink on the verandah and listen to birdsong or watch the world go by. We used it as a base to visit some of Suffolk’s gems, such as Lavenham, Long Melford Hall, Ickworth House and Sutton Hoo. The owner Sue is very welcoming and a source of knowledge about local points of interest and places to eat, she made us feel right at home and provided wonderful breakfasts.

We loved our 3-night stay at this lovely old farmhouse in the peaceful countryside. Sue was an excellent host: flexible, helpful, welcoming, and provided a sumptuous breakfast with eggs from the farm and other locally sourced produce. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again if I visit Suffolk another time.
