And ‘the serene city of Norwich’ that intrigued us to look a little closer!
A beautiful city, situated close to the Norfolk Broads and the stunning Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Steeped in history, interestingly, it had once been recognised as the country’s most important city after London. This impressive medieval city is home to a 900 year old Norman Castle as well as two cathedrals and an incredible 32 medieval churches! With creative and cultural heritage in abundance, Norwich was the first city in England awarded the prestigious UNESCO City of Literature status.
For a great shopping experience, look no further as Norwich is one of the best! Explore the pedestrianised area known as ‘Gentleman’s walk’, the historic Market dating back to the 11th century or browse the charming shops in the amazing Royal Arcade. From superb restaurants, characterful pubs to fine coffee shops, visitors are catered for on every level.
As for ‘an irresistible destination’, words sometimes fall short…this really is one of those places that has to be experienced for yourself!
